Never let anyone sway you,

Not even a little bit.

Follow your heart to build your dream

And find that place you fit.

Dream as large as you want to;

Believe with all your might.

Even when the road is rough

Keep your goal in sight.

When society tries to burden you

With more than you can bear;

Square your shoulders and lift your chin.

You'll regret it if you don't dare.

Remember if you don’t venture,

Then nothing will be gained.

The burden of that will weigh you down

Like branches after it rains.

Your passion is yours and yours alone.

It’s only up to you.

Search til you find your niche in life,

Don’t stop until you do.

This is a poem I wrote a couple of years ago. It describes perfectly how I feel about pursuing my dream of writing. We have to believe in ourselves for others to appreciate who we are. Don't just dream - make your dreams come true!
